Paid family and domestic violence leave now law

The Fair Work Amendment (Paid Family and Domestic Violence Leave) Act 2022 came into force in October and has introduced 10 days of paid family and domestic violence leave into the National Employment Standards.

The entitlements come into force in 1 February 2023 for businesses which are not small business employers and 1 August 2023 for small businesses and apply to all employees, including casual employees, at the rate of pay the employee would have earned had he or she not taken leave.
