Criminal convictions in the workplace; Part 2; the WA Position

The Western Australian Equal Opportunity Act 1984 prohibits discrimination in the workplace for any of the following grounds namely;
sex, marital status, pregnancy or breast feeding
gender history
family responsibility or family status
sexual orientation
religious or political conviction
the publication of relevant details of persons on the Fines Enforcement Registrar’s website.
The Act does not prohibit discrimination on the ground of criminal conviction.
